DCIB Strategic Alliances

DCIB Strategic Alliances (DSA’s) are sector-specific and consist of entrepreneurs with a leading role in development and beneficiation of opportunities in a specific country/region. The key objectives of DSA's are: enhancement of the proposition, generation of revenues, business innovation and sharing of costs/risks. DSA's are excellent vehicles to enable smaller, generally more innovative, SME's to do business on foreign markets.
DSA's consist of Dutch companies exploring foreign markets but can also include companies from the targeted market. Moreover, DSA's can also be formed by foreign companies to explore the Dutch market. DCIB takes care of the organization and management of the DSA’s as well as feeding with information and market intelligence.

DSA Dairy Products & Technologies in Sri Lanka

The government of Sri Lanka has given high priority to the development of the dairy sector in the coming years.
The aim is to raise the present self-sufficiency rate of 35% to 100% in 2020. Milk production systems will be modernized through the importation of dairy heifers, establishment of large scale farms and support to medium and small scale farms that are willing to invest in more commercial milk production.
The collection and processing system is expanding and modernized through the establishment of more chilling centers and processing plants.

DSA Floriculture in Sri Lanka

DSA Renewable Energy in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka’s government is considering increasing the share of renewable energy in electricity generation to 100% by 2030. The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) proposed the Long-term Generation Expansion Plan 2015-2034. The installed power capacity at the end of 2014 was 3.9 GW, of which 11% (442 MW) is renewable energy with mini-hydro power (293 MW) and wind energy (124 MW). 
The CEB plans to increase the renewable energy capacity to 972 MW by 2020, which would contribute 20% to the total power generation in the country. Renewable energy’s share in power generation is currently expected to peak in 2025 at 21.4% with an installed capacity of 1,367 MW.
Projected capacities and opportunities are in: mini-hydro: 673 MW, wind energy: 719 MW, biomass-based power: 279 MW, solar power: 226 MW
